Hello my lovebirds,
I hope all is well.
I'm someone who tends to take things at heart. I get involve and I care too easily. I feel too deeply. I understand too much. I tend to have too much empathy - more often than so for people I shouldn't feel for. I don't know when it all happened but I've grown accustomed to taking someone's pain as my own. It can be quite devastating. Over the years, I have managed to keep my emotions on check somehow by accepting and doing 3 things.
#1 Perfection doesn't exist
This one is something we've all struggled with. Society and movies keep telling us to push further. To give it our best, to achieve perfection on our way to the top. The truth is perfection doesn't exist and it would be boring if it did. Life is messy. It doesn't always go your way. No matter how much you try to fix something, some things cannot be mended. You have to accept that people, life and things are not perfect. Nothing is black or white. You might have failed today but you can still succeed tomorrow. You can always do better. Nothing is set. Everything changes.#2 'No' is always an option
For the longest time, I was one of those people who would agree to do things they didn't want to do. I would say 'yes' simply to please someone. I have a tendecy to put myself last. I have this crazy habit of considering others before me. I'm working on it. I'm working on learning that saying 'no' is okay. You can choose yourself. You don't have to hurt someone else in the process either. You can be direct and decide what your priority is. Your choices define who you are so don't do something for the sake of it! Oh and remember that people always leave and in the end, you only have yourself. Don't loose yourself trying to please someone else.#3 Start a fuck budget
I read the book The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k and it was amazing. I've grown into someone who doesn't give too much fuck to people who don't deserve one second of my time. Life is too short to give fucks to things or people who don't deserve it. Now, before deciding on doing or caring, I stop and take a second to ask myself : 'would this person do the same thing for me? Does this bring me joy? Does it sit right with me? Does it improve my life or the life of someone I love?' If the answer is no then I'm taking a step back and leaving for the next chapter.Do you have any experience or thoughts to share with us?

Hey lovebirds! The main topic of today's blog is foundation. I was talking with my friends the other day and I realized that over the years, I've sort of gathered some knowledge regarding foundations. As a result, I desperately wanted to share it with you. Therefore, I've made a little list. I will call this blogpost : a guidebook - foundation 101.
Bare in mind that I'm far from a beauty guru. I'm simply a blogger who loves beauty and makeup. I've tried many foundations and made a lot of mistakes. If this little guidebook thingy is of any help to anyone, my mission would be completed. I will stop rambling know and get right to the point!
STEP ONE : CHOOSING THE RIGHT FORMULA
Firstly, you have to decide between powder and liquid foundation. In my experience, baked pressed mineral powders work best on oily to combinaison skins. However, it can be used to set makeup and prevent ceasing. My first foundation ever was a powder. It's easy to apply and natural looking. Besides, liquid foundations are more complicated to apprehend. They are so many formulas and effects you can achieve or expect in a liquid foundations. In fact, before purchasing your liquid base, you have to decide if you want a matte or glowy finish. Of course, you also have to decide how much you want to spend on your base. I, for once, - as always - am a big fan of high end foundations. I feel like a good base is the key to any makeup look.
STEP TWO : CHOOSING THE RIGHT SHADE
One if not the most important part. NEVER EVER CHOOSE A SHADE THAT IS NOT A PERFECT MATCH OF YOUR SKINTONE. If you're anything like me, you know how much of a struggle it can be. Nonetheless, it's definitely worth it. I don't know how many times over the years, I've had to fight or listen to someone advising me to pick a shade slightly darker than my skin. If your fair like me, you've probably experienced something similar. I don't know but people always seem to want me to wear a foundation darker than my skin. There is nothing I hate more than having a face darker than my neck... Come on, it's 2016 !
STEP THREE : CHOOSING THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF COVERAGE FOR YOU
Then, comes the big issue : coverage. How much coverage do you really need? Do you want a full flawless face or just your skin but better look? Do you fancy a light coverage or full coverage? It depends on what you want to hide and how much you want to hide. I always reach for my powder on days where my skin isn't having an existencial crisis. On other days, I will pick my favourite foundation. I like natural or glowy finishes with light to medium coverage depending on my skin's situation.
I'm honestly quite amazed by people who can pull off a full face of makeup. Make up can be so amazing. It's like you're painting your face and revealing your inner beauty to the world.
SOME FOUNDATIONS I WOULD SUGGEST :
~ For summertime and light coverage : Chanel SPF50 CC cream. (normal skin)
~ For winter and full coverage : MAC, Mineralize Moisture SPF 15 Foundation. (dry skin)
~ Everyday flawless face : Charlotte Tilbury, Light Wonder foundation SPF 15. (normal skin)
~ The Drugstore option : L'oréal LumiMagique or healthy mix. (normal to combinaison skin)
~ My favourite powder foundation : mac mineralize skinfinish natural. (no powdery effect)
What about you? Do you have any tips or experiences with foundations that you'd like to share? It's always helpful and highly appreciated by me and my readers so don't hesitate to share with us your very own little 101 foundations. Thanks for reading and I will see you on Friday! ♥ x

Hello my lovebirds! I'm trying something new today. I decided to do a little guide for you. I'll share my travel tips. It's probably nothing new. It's probably some tings you do... Nonetheless, you might find out something useful. We never know, do we?! Without further due here are my travel tips :
◈ BOOK EARLY.
Booking your flight early can help you save up money. I find that booking my flight from a year to six/seven week prior to the intended date can be cheaper! Flights tend to be cheaper when booked early.
◈ AIRBNB IS YOUR FRIEND.
I've recently grown quite found of Airbnb. It's cheaper than an hotel room and you can meet some lovely people as well! It's also a good way to explore the city while 'sort of living there'. You will almost feel like a local. Besides, you can cook your own food.
◈ TRAVEL LIGHT.
Travel light is key. I also roll up my clothes so they don't take too much space and only carry the bare minimals. Why? Nobody likes carrying an heavy bag or not being able to bring back as much stuff as you want from your trip. I always carry an heavier suitcase on my way back home ahaha
◈ GOOD SHOES AND CHEAP FOOD ARE YOUR BESTFRIENDS.
You're obviously going to walk a lot - especially if you're on a budget. So you will need a good and comfy pair of shoes. You should probably forget about those killer heels or only wear them on a night out! I would also eating cheap food instead of healthy food. You can always get back on your diet when you get back. A few cheat days won't kill you! - Well, probably not straight away ahahah.
Do you have any traveling tips ? Thanks for reading and I will see on you on Sunday ♥
Coucou mes lovebirds!
{ } Hello, my beautiful birds!
The main theme of this topic is 4 tips I gathered and decided to share with you. Those tips involves makeup. They are things I could gather. It's perfect science or anything like that. It's simply some things I noticed. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little blog. Thanks for reading me and being here with me ♥

One thing I have learnt while doing my maleup is that less is always better in the makeup department. Don't over do it! Stay simple and truthful. You probably still want to recognize yourself afterwards. Hiding your flaws or things you're not comfortable with is alright but don't push it. I think everyone is perfect on their own way. I think makeup is a way to feel better and to feel more like yourself. Applying a mask of fakeness on your already pretty face won't be of any use.
― DON'T :
DO A SMOKY EYES MAKEUP & A BOLD LIPS LOOK
it's just too much. It doesn't look good either. ― DON'T :
APPLY TOO MUCH BRIGHT COLORS ON FAIR SKIN
Your skin will look even more pale and it won't be natural at all. (think clown, here.)― DON'T :
APPLY EYELINER WHEN YOU'RE ALREADY/GOING TO BE LATE
It takes time and if you do it quickly it'll look messy and irregular. You may just as well messed up the rest of your face in the process... (trust me it could happen...)― DON'T :
APPLY NAILPOLISH IN A HURRY
It will look messy and uneven. You might get nailpolish on everything. One thing I have learnt while doing my maleup is that less is always better in the makeup department. Don't over do it!
