Instead of doing my favourite skincare products, I thought I would do something different. What’s more different than doing the exact opposite? I see nothing better than doing the worst skincare products I ever bought. It’s always helpful to know which products one does not recommend.
To get you started, here are a few details about my skin type and lifestyle.
First of all, I have a sensitive skin. I also have a combination skin. It means that it’s not easy for me to find products that will suit my skin. Bare in mind, if you have a different skin type, you might have a different reaction to the products I am mentioning.
As regards my lifestyle, I live in the city centre. It has a lot of pollution. It’s very windy and the climate is quite warm. We don’t really get cold winters here but we have very hot summers. I usually go to the gym at least 3 times a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less, it depends on my mood. I try to eat healthy most of the time but I will rarely say no to a pizza or a burger.
Biotherm, Aquasource hydrating gel.
First one my list is Aqua Souce hydrating gel. The texture & smell are fairly good. However, it didn’t do anything to my skin. If anything, I got a lot of acne whereas I usually don’t have much. I didn’t like it at all.Clinique all’ bout eye cream
This cream is not the worst product I have ever used but it did nothing to my dark circles. I even ended up having pink eyes. It still hydrates your eyes well. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to prevent dark circles from appearing and needs moisture.L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil
L’Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil wasn’t a good fit for my hair. I did something at first. In the beginning, they seemed a little more healthier and less dehydrated. Then after a few uses, it seemed to do nothing. My hair was greasier.Ora Paris, Argile shampoo & conditioner
I tried their Keratine range and it was amazing. This range however is pretty terrible. I have to wash my hair everyday if I use it. I would not recommend it at all. It is not nourishing at all either.I guess I was lucky enough not to come across too many bad products for my skin. What about you?
What’s the worst item of beauty you have ever bought?
Thank you for reading and I'll see you soon ♥ x

Hello lovebirds, I hope all is well. Long time no see, I know. I have been running out of time and energy but I miss blogging way too much! I have been trying a few different ways to remove my makeup. On the top of that list has been Garnier. I'm on more of a budget these days... So I try to figure out ways to cut expenses. As I heard wonders about this brand, I decided to give it my best shot. 3 months later, here is my full report...
Description & use
I tried a few makeup removers from the Garnier SkinActive range. I tried the sensitive & dry skin and the sensitive skin products. I also gave the yellowy Biphase a go. It wasn't my cup of tea. A few weeks ago, they released a new - and blue - version which was more my style. The pink product is fairly easy to use. You use a cotton pad to apply it on your face and remove all your make up. It does take a few before you are completely makeup free. The blue product is more suitable to remove eye makeup and lipstick. Don't forget to shake it up before applying it on your cotton pads!
My thoughts
Both products are equally good but I do prefer the micellar water. I'm not the biggest fan of the oily side of every biphase products I have ever encountered... I'm on my third pink bottle so I think it's safe to say that I'm hooked! It's a cheaper and nice alternative to my usual products. For once, drugstores products have conquered my heart... Sweet birds, what's happening?
Do I recommend those products? Yes, 100% to anyone looking for good drugstore products.
Have you tried anything from Garnier's skincare range?

Hello my birds! A few weeks ago I lost one of my favourite earrings. I was so crushed. I believe that everything happens for a reason and I think this was no exception. A couple of days later, I was approached by Sonja from the Happiness boutique. The Happiness Boutique is a lovely German brand. They have always intrigued me. They are very active on social media and offer a wilde range of affordable jewellery. So when they gave me the chance to review two pairs of earrings, I had to say yes. I had to discover their universe! Was I disappointed or was I even more in awe?
Happiness Boutique
They make quality products which are affordable and fashionable. On their website, you can buy earrings, necklaces, bracelets or rings. There are a lot of different styles. I chose two earrings from the 'Delicate earrings' range. They offer free delivery on every order - which in my book should always be the case. The brand also has set a reward program for its customers. Needless to say, I was smitten.Happiness Boutique's products
I chose two earrings : triangle drop earrings & a pair of stud earrings. Both earrings are in rose gold. I wanted something a little different and I love rose gold. I only like delicate earrings so I was afraid of the actual size of the earrings cause I've been duped before... I like tiny earrings. Both have the perfect size. It's very lovely and cute. The rose gold colour is beautiful. I love the asymetrical effect of the triange drop earrings. It gives it an edge. I tend to have allergy when it comes to metal which are not silver but I had no allergy while wearing both earrings for a day.Do I recommend this shop?
Definitely, I'm very happy with both products. The quality is very good. The delivery was quite fast: about a week and a half. It came in a very cute box which was a lovely attention. I can't get enough of both products. I have been wearing them everyday since! The Happiness boutique has a discount code for you, my birds. When you use this discount code at checkout, you'll get a 10% off discount on all your orders over 19€ :) The discount code is serenbird and is valid until January the 13th.
Do you like those earrings? What's your favourite kind of earrings?

Hello lovebirds,
I hope all is well. I teamed up with a new lovely brand this month. As you might know, I love home decor. I like Scandinavian style prints, wood furnitures and lovely declicate touch of rose gold and grey. I'm finishing up my living room as we speak. I was on the market for a new print or canvas which is why I couldn't resist reviewing one of Photowall 's products. Photowall is a Swedish company who makes wall murals and canvas prints. I chose a canvas which is called Cosmic Abstratiction. It has that Scandinavian feel which I cannot resist.
The order
The process is pretty simple. You have to pick a print for your canvas. Once you have chosen your print, you need to pick a frame. I chose the Do-it-yourself frame. You also need to pick the kind of edges you'd like. I picked the first kind of edges which has the print all over. Step 3 allows you to personnalize your canvas and pick the exact size you want for your canvas. Step 4 helps you visualize how your canvas will look like. Once you have completed all 4 steps, you can add the item into your cart. The delivery
I got my order within 3 business days. I could choose when I was delievered and if I wanted to get it delivered at a pickup point. I pick a pickup point near my flat. The product was very careful packed. It was in a big box and everything was tied up nicely. The product
The quality of the canvas is mind blowing. The material is very thick and robust. It feels very high end. The wood of the DYI frame is heavy and sturdy. I'm amazed by the quality of the canvas. It feels very high end and very luxuous. As for the DYI frame, there is a manual. The manual lacks a bit of explaination. It's very short. It doesn't go into too much details. Maybe there should be a bit more images. Regardless, it took me less than 10 minutes to put everything together. The hardest part was figuring out where everything went ahah - #foreverclumsy.
Do I recommend this shop?
100% ! The customer care service is absolutely adorable. The shop has quality items at an affordable price. It's delivered quickly and at the most convenient time. Besides, I love how you get to built your canvas yourself. It tricked me into thinking I was not as giddy as I thought I was. I'm in love with my new canvas 😍 If you have not gone into Photowall website, you're clearly missing out! Go go go!What do you think of this canvas?

Hello my lovebirds,
I hope all is well for you. For those who went back to school, I hope it went very well. New year, new resolutions. I wish you to have an amazing year at work or/and at school.
I bought a few skincare products. Thus, I've added a few new things into my (night) skincare routine. I thought I would share with you, my thoughts on every product.
― Kiehl's, Ultra facial cream & midnight recovery concentrate.
I use this cream every night with a drop of the midnight concentrate serum. You don’t need to use a huge amount of product. Let’s just say a little goes a long way. I was offered a sample of this face cream and simply fell in love with it. It gives just the right amount of moisture. It’s not too greasy either. Paired with the serum, I always wake-up feeling like I have an amazing skin. I was afraid the serum would be too greasy but turns out it's not at all. I only use a drop or two every night and it's just wonderful.
― Kiehl's, creamy eye treatment.
I bought this product in Italy. I have wanted to try this product since March and finally made the big jump. I’m not disappointed. I feel like my eyes are less dry but I think I might need to switch for something for my dark circles issue. My dark circles are not less dark but there are still some dark circles here. I might just be destined to have dark circles for the rest of my life…
― The bodyshop, tea tree oil.
Thanks to a PR sample, I got to try this product. Well, I didn’t think magic existed until I first started using this… It does wonder. It gets rid of any blemishes I could have after only a few applications. I use a Q-tip to apply the product where I want it to be. It seems more hygienic and this way I can be sure to apply it directly on the right spot. Mmm, so charming, isn't it?
― Liz Earle, Cleanse & Polish cleanser.
This is an old time favourite. I’ve been using this product for over 3 years now. I don’t remember where I first discovered it… I think it was back when I lived in Ireland with one of my bestfriends. I always gravitate toward this cleanser. I have yet to find something as good as this one.
― Garnier, skinactive micellar all in one.
Whenever I feel lazy or need a quick make up remover, I reach for this product. I’ve seen it a couple of time on the blogosphere. I agree with the reviews, it’s good quality for the price. I will definitely be repurchasing it even if it does take a few try to completely remove my eye make-up.
What's new with you? What's in your skincare routine?
Thank you for reading and I'll see you soon ♥ x

This time, I picked up a few things. The brush cleanser is something I've always wanted to try. I want to compare it to the one from Sephora. The second item is Intensive Hand&Foot Scrub. I was seduced by the idea of a hand and feet scrub. I mean, who wouldn't ? It seems like such an awesome idea! The lipstick is a new edition of an old time favourite. It's Kiko's Unlimited Double Touch 122 lipstickin the shade : "burgundy". We all know this shade has my name written all over it... How was I supposed to resist? Last but not least, Coloured Balm 06 is a basic thing. The kind of things you lazily put on your lips on your way to work or in the bathroom of a small coffee shop. A splash of colour that hydrates your lips.
― Unlimited Double Touch 122.
I've now worn this lipstick for at least 4 times. I have found that this new formula is quite different from the old one. It's more liquid and less opaque. It doesn't dry as much as the old one. It lasts less. To be honest, I could wear the old version all day and not have to reapply it but this one I have to reapply if I drink too much teas. I definitely need a lipstick that don't vanish after a few drinks... If you have met any, please, send them my way...
― Brush Cleanser.
I was quite disappointed with this product. I don't feel like it works at all. At least, on the first try, it didn't clean my dirty brushes. They were only "wet". When swipped on a tissue, there are residue of makeup but that's all. It didn't really do the trick... It's a bit harsh as well. I wouldn't recommend this at all.
― Coloured Balm 06.
I don't have much to say on this product. It's a pretty basic thing. Nothing awesome to report. It doesn't add any colour to my lips. It's quite thick and sticky. It stays on my lips for quite some time. I'm not a big fan of that shinny/glossy/sticky effect but it feels like my lips are more nourished. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I didn't notice anything life changing. Nevertheless, it smells freaking amazing. It is sooo addictive!
― Intensive Hand&Foot Scrub.
I've tried this on my hands - Bare in mind that I've very dry hands. - and didn't have much hopes but still, I ended up being disappointed. I didn't notice much difference at first so I decided to keep using it. I'm thinking maybe it's more about how often you use it. Maybe if I use it often I will notice a difference?! I don't know... I will keep you updated. I guess, this review is TO BE CONTINUED!
Have you tried any of those products? Do you have any ideas on what I should try next?
Thank you for reading and I'll see you soon ♥ x

Hello lovebirds. I hope all is well. I'm doing a mini review/first impressions today. My big sister (Magda ♥) lend me some of her NYX makeup so I could do a review for you. Do you remember that article I wrote about the brands I wanted to try ? I'm glad to report that I managed to try most of these brands.
I still have mixed feeling when it comes to NYX. This time I found three products that I thought would be worth mentioning. I want your takes on everything. NYX products seem to be a bit of a hit and miss.
― NYX, ILLUMINATOR.
I really love this product. I think I might purchase it the next time I'm near a NYX shop. It looks pigmented and not some kind of disco ball highlighter. I was very surprised. I'm all in for this golden sheer! I would totally recommend having a look into those highlighter!
― NYX, HS42 Strike a pose.
This was a disappointment. I love the color but it's not pigmented enough for me. I feel like the color and the formula aren't what I look for in an eyshadow. The color is simply not as bright as I would have thought it to be but the packaging is hella cute. However, if you're on the market for a light brown, natural looking eyeshadow, give it a go! For the price tag, it's pretty good...
― NYX, HD studio photogenic.
The formula isn't too watery or too creamy. However, my dry under-eyes were not very keen of this product. Nonetheless, the coverage is fairly good. It would probably work very well on anyone who doesn't have a dry skin.
Do you have any NYX products to recommend? Do not hesitate to share it with us in the comments. Thank you for reading and I'll see you soon ♥ x

Hello my loves. I hope you're doing well. I'm back with a little review. My dear friend NADIA was kind enough to give me the opportunity to try one of her products.
This product belongs to the haircare category. What it is meant to do is to strengthen and stimulate your hair. Your hair appears shinnier and healthier with this product composed of 5 oils.
What I noticed is that it feels kind of warms when I let it on my hair. It's like you can feel the product working his magic ahahahahah. I looooove it! Joke aside, it does feel like my hair is shinnier and stronger after using it. I need to use it more in my daily routine but to be honest I've been a bit lazy lately. I lack of time and honestly I cannot be bother to spend too much time on my hair. - WHO IS WITH ME, GIRLS?
However, I try to use this every sunday. I leave it on the afternoon and then wash my hair in the evening.
I would totally recommend this product. It's quite nice and every component of this product are vegan and natural-ish. What more can a girl ask for?
Thank you for reading my lovebirds and I'll see you soon ♥ x

- during the day.
So here is my review of Urban Decay's Razor Sharp Eyeliner.
Brand description :
Introducing Razor Sharp Water-Resistant Longwear Liquid Eyeliner by Urban Decay, an intensely pigmented liquid liner that lasts all day and comes in an array of shades---from lacquered creams to metallic shimmers.
This water-resistant formula dries down quickly, provides long-lasting wear, and will not smudge. Its fine-tipped brush applicator lets you lay down sharp liquid lines so you can draw them on super thin or thick and bold, or even spot-reapply with ease. Then simply remove it with makeup remover.
My opinion : At first, I've to admit I wasn't a fan of this eyeliner. The very first time I wore it, I ended up with eyeliner everywhere as the day went by. So odd. So annoying. I don't know why but I've used it again a couple weeks ago and it did no such thing. Strange things. So yeah, I have mixed feelings about this product. It wasn't all that bad. The second time around it was quite amazing. It didn't budge. It stayed on all day and night.
Do I recommend this product ? It's not the eyeliner of the century. I wouldn't say it's a must but on overall, it's a pretty good eyeliner.
Have you tried this eyeliner? What is your favourite eyeliner? I can't wait to read your comments down below. Thank you for reading and I'll see you soon ♥ x

Heeeeyyy lovelies! I hope you're doing amazingly well. It's Friyay! The weekend is upon us. I hope you've great plans for this weekend. It's the very first weekend of october. By the way, who's excited for Autumn? 'Cause I'm. Seriously, Summer should be behind us by now. It's Autumn's turn. Anyway, I recently picked up this mascara from Guerlain. I thought I would do a little review for you, my lovebirds!
Brand description :
A charming trump card, an irresistible weapon of seduction, Cils d’Enfer So Volume intensifies and enhances the eyes. Sophisticated variation of the mascara phenomenon, it delivers incredible instant volume, of a deep black. From the first sweep of the brush, the gentle, creamy and elastic formula creates significantly thicker lashes. Infused with a conditioning action to protect the lashes, it is enriched with adhesive oils to prevent running or smudging and ultra-glossy oils for an intense black. Its fine elastomer brush weaves in to easily catch and precisely coat lashes one by one – even the shortest and those at the very corners of the eye – to offer sensational curve. Lashes are coated and sculpted to perfection, with no risk of excess. Stunning captivating volume, magnetic black. My opinion :
This mascara is called Maxi Lash So Volume - Intense Volume, Deep black mascara. You can buy it at John Lewis or House of Fraser. It retails at £25.00. The packaging is in a gorgeous gold. I'm not a big lover of gold but damn that mascara is hot! The first thing I noticed, while using it, was how dark it made my lashes. No other mascara managed to get them to be that dark. It doesn't hurt my sensitive eyes. And boy, I've tried many irritating mascaras! There are absolutely no clogging as the brush treats lashes individually. It's comfortable to wear and lasts well. Besides, it's easy to remove. I don't know how, in few months, I'm going to be able to say goodbye to that mascara...
Do I recommend this product?
Yes absolutely, it's definitely one of my favourite mascaras! I'll be using this beauty everyday.
Oui, absolument, ce mascara est définitivement un de mes préférés. En plus, il est très naturel!
Have you tried this Mascara? What is your current mascara? I can't wait to read your comments down below. Thank you for reading and I'll see you soon ♥ x

Anyway, today's post is a review of the new mini eraser sponges by Real Techniques. I ordered them online alongside my new Miracle Complexion Sponge. By the way, do you replace your makeup sponges every three months? I'm just asking for a friend...
Brand description :
' Erase makeup mishaps with the 2 pack of Miracle Mini Eraser Sponges from Real Techniques. The mini purple sponges can be used damp or dry and boast flat edges, which are designed to help erase, rounded sides to buff and blend out makeup and a precision tip for a targeted sweep. The Miracle sponges are an essential tool for your makeup bag, with the ability to sweep away eyeshadow that falls under the eye, erase eyeliner gone wrong, wipe away mascara smudges and blend away over applied blush or highlighter, resulting in a more professional finish to each of your makeup looks. Latex Free! '
My thoughts on those makeup sponges:
I put mine under water. It went slighly bigger. I was actually quite amazed with the quality of the sponge. It's so soft. It's definitely my favourite way to apply concealer. Those sponges have the perfect shape and size. It's easy to wash as well. I wasn't sure if I should wash it straight away or not so I waited a couple of days before washing it off. I used my beauty blender solid cleanser to wash it. Then, I rinced it with trepid - or hot, depending on how it went... you know how it's, sometimes in life, you got to go with the flow - water.
I'm genuinely impressed. I like them more than my usual beauty blender. I know, there are those teams on the blogging community. People either like the beauty blender or the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge. And you know what? I can't choose. I love both of
Do I recommend this product?
Yes, 100% yes. If you fancy a new beauty sponge then go for it! Those sponges are going to be very helpful. By the way, purple sponges, which kind of look weird are always a good bonus in my book! You know how much I like weirdness.
Have you tried these mini make up sponges? Do you like the Real Techniques makeup sponges? Share your own thoughts, in the comments below. Thanks for reading and I'll see you soon ♥

Hi lovelies! I hope everything is okay for you. I finally finished reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying up. I sure took my sweet time reading it but it was very informative. I've done a few books reviews in the past. Boy, it was so long ago! I had just started blogging. Now, I feel like my style has changed quite a lot! Anyway, no more rambling. - well, to be honest, when have I ever stopped rambling? Yup, I can't remember either...
✧ THE JAPANESE ART OF DECLUTTERING AND ORGANIZING
' Despite constant efforts to declutter your home, do papers still accumulate like snowdrifts and clothes pile up like a tangled mess of noodles?Japanese cleaning consultant Marie Kondo takes tidying to a whole new level, promising that if you properly simplify and organize your home once, you’ll never have to do it again. Most methods advocate a room-by-room or little-by-little approach, which doom you to pick away at your piles of stuff forever. The KonMari Method, with its revolutionary category-by-category system, leads to lasting results. In fact, none of Kondo’s clients have lapsed (and she still has a three-month waiting list).
With detailed guidance for determining which items in your house “spark joy” (and which don’t), this international bestseller featuring Tokyo’s newest lifestyle phenomenon will help you clear your clutter and enjoy the unique magic of a tidy home—and the calm, motivated mindset it can inspire. '
MY THOUGHTS ON THAT BOOK
I enjoyed reading that book. I love how Marie Kondon writes. It's fluid. It contains extracts from her personnal life and her experience as a tidying expert. You can find several chapters organized by theme. The book gradually takes you on your tidy journey. She shares tips and tricks on how organize and simplify your home. I love how she somehow gives us pieces of her Japanese heritage. She brushes through the Japanese culture and tradition. She is guiding us through what she calls the ' sparking joy of tidying up. ' If you're anything like me - and Marie Kondo, yes, we're pals now. well not really but... - that is to say you love pretty and tidy things then you'll probably like this book. After all, it's a
HAS IT CHANGED MY LIFE?
As much as I want to say yes, it's just a book. I'm a tidy person. I've always ended up tidying and caring after people. However, I do feel like this book has influenced my life. I can relate to Marie Kondo. She fights to make the world a better place, a tidy house at a time!
This book had a lot of success when it came out. It was a #1 NY Times bestseller with more than 3 million copies sold. I find that fascinating. In the end, her book probably changed lives. - and most definitely, her book must have been a life-changing experience for her. So that's always good!
Have you read this book? Have you read any books that changed your views on life ?
