Instead of doing my favourite skincare products, I thought I would do something different. What’s more different than doing the exact opposite? I see nothing better than doing the worst skincare products I ever bought. It’s always helpful to know which products one does not recommend.
To get you started, here are a few details about my skin type and lifestyle.
First of all, I have a sensitive skin. I also have a combination skin. It means that it’s not easy for me to find products that will suit my skin. Bare in mind, if you have a different skin type, you might have a different reaction to the products I am mentioning.
As regards my lifestyle, I live in the city centre. It has a lot of pollution. It’s very windy and the climate is quite warm. We don’t really get cold winters here but we have very hot summers. I usually go to the gym at least 3 times a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less, it depends on my mood. I try to eat healthy most of the time but I will rarely say no to a pizza or a burger.
Biotherm, Aquasource hydrating gel.
First one my list is Aqua Souce hydrating gel. The texture & smell are fairly good. However, it didn’t do anything to my skin. If anything, I got a lot of acne whereas I usually don’t have much. I didn’t like it at all.Clinique all’ bout eye cream
This cream is not the worst product I have ever used but it did nothing to my dark circles. I even ended up having pink eyes. It still hydrates your eyes well. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to prevent dark circles from appearing and needs moisture.L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil
L’Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil wasn’t a good fit for my hair. I did something at first. In the beginning, they seemed a little more healthier and less dehydrated. Then after a few uses, it seemed to do nothing. My hair was greasier.Ora Paris, Argile shampoo & conditioner
I tried their Keratine range and it was amazing. This range however is pretty terrible. I have to wash my hair everyday if I use it. I would not recommend it at all. It is not nourishing at all either.I guess I was lucky enough not to come across too many bad products for my skin. What about you?
What’s the worst item of beauty you have ever bought?

Hello my birds,
It's been a long time since I changed my beauty routine. I'm the kind of girl who usually sticks with a routine. I used to be a huge Khiel's fan. I still use their face cream during the day but I felt like I needed to switch things up. I didn't want to go back to my usual safe bet either. I then decided to try only new things. On a sunny saturday morning I went to the closest Sephora. By the way, I need to do a room toor soon. I moved into a new city three months ago and my new flat is pretty cool. However, the decor is not finished yet. Anyway, I'm getting off topic here. As I was saying, I went for 3 new products and I will share my first impressions on all of them. I hope you will enjoy that :)
― By Terry, baume de rose, face cream.
First off, I loooove the smell of this By Terry Baume de Rose Face cream. The colour is a beautiful creamy dusty pink. It has a light and creamy formula. It doesn't feel greasy at all. You don't need to use a lot of product either. My skin appears brighter and hydrated.
― Origins, Out of trouble, face mask.
I am a big fan of Origins Charocal mask. The Out of Trouble face mask though doesn't make a huge difference to be honest. I've only used it once but I didn't notice anything significant. I will have to try it a few times before making a clear decision but so far I'm not impressed.
― Clinique, all about eyes rich, eye cream.
I've only tried Clinique's take the day off range on which I did a review back in June 2017. I didn't hate it so I thought why not try their skincare range as well. A friend of mine recommended me the eyes rich eye cream from Clinique. I will need 2 weeks to see if it actually works on me. I will keep you posted! Nonetheless, it doesn't hurt my sensitive eyes.
― Sephora, Promegranate eye masks.
I have tried a couple of those masks. I even did a review on this eye mask. You can find it here. I'm hoping it'll work better this time! Fingers crossed, my babes.
On overall, it's a pretty successful haul. I cannot wait to do a review on all of those new products I have incorporated in my 2019 skincare routine.
What is your current skincare routine?

Hello lovebirds, I hope all is well. Long time no see, I know. I have been running out of time and energy but I miss blogging way too much! I have been trying a few different ways to remove my makeup. On the top of that list has been Garnier. I'm on more of a budget these days... So I try to figure out ways to cut expenses. As I heard wonders about this brand, I decided to give it my best shot. 3 months later, here is my full report...
Description & use
I tried a few makeup removers from the Garnier SkinActive range. I tried the sensitive & dry skin and the sensitive skin products. I also gave the yellowy Biphase a go. It wasn't my cup of tea. A few weeks ago, they released a new - and blue - version which was more my style. The pink product is fairly easy to use. You use a cotton pad to apply it on your face and remove all your make up. It does take a few before you are completely makeup free. The blue product is more suitable to remove eye makeup and lipstick. Don't forget to shake it up before applying it on your cotton pads!
My thoughts
Both products are equally good but I do prefer the micellar water. I'm not the biggest fan of the oily side of every biphase products I have ever encountered... I'm on my third pink bottle so I think it's safe to say that I'm hooked! It's a cheaper and nice alternative to my usual products. For once, drugstores products have conquered my heart... Sweet birds, what's happening?
Do I recommend those products? Yes, 100% to anyone looking for good drugstore products.
Have you tried anything from Garnier's skincare range?

Hi my lovebirds,
This is a small review/the face masks combo I'm using at the moment. I've recently went back to the Bodyshop because they started to make Vegan products. As you might remember, BEFORE, the Bodyshop was far from respectful of animals. They were testing on animals and using them to make their products... I do not understand how it could still exist in 2017. Can't we ever stop being crual? Now they have launched a petition to ban animal testing.
The bodyshop, japanese matcha tea face mask.
I use this mask once a week - well, sometimes a bit more often. I like that it's a bit creamy and it's softer on the skin than the hymalyan mask. It's almost like it's a face scrub as well. It has such a funny texture for a mask. My skin always feels better afterwards.
The bodyshop, British rose face mask.
When the weather gets colder my skin tends to get very dry. I love using this mask once a week to give it a bit of moisture. It doesn't breakout my skin either. It feels like the perfect amount of moisture.
Both masks work very well together. They are both good on my sensitive skin. I can recommend it to anyone looking to have a complete face mask skincare routine.
Have you tried any of the Bodyshop's Vegan face masks?
Thank you for reading and I'll see you soon ♥ x

Hello my lovebirds,
I hope all is well for you. For those who went back to school, I hope it went very well. New year, new resolutions. I wish you to have an amazing year at work or/and at school.
I bought a few skincare products. Thus, I've added a few new things into my (night) skincare routine. I thought I would share with you, my thoughts on every product.
― Kiehl's, Ultra facial cream & midnight recovery concentrate.
I use this cream every night with a drop of the midnight concentrate serum. You don’t need to use a huge amount of product. Let’s just say a little goes a long way. I was offered a sample of this face cream and simply fell in love with it. It gives just the right amount of moisture. It’s not too greasy either. Paired with the serum, I always wake-up feeling like I have an amazing skin. I was afraid the serum would be too greasy but turns out it's not at all. I only use a drop or two every night and it's just wonderful.
― Kiehl's, creamy eye treatment.
I bought this product in Italy. I have wanted to try this product since March and finally made the big jump. I’m not disappointed. I feel like my eyes are less dry but I think I might need to switch for something for my dark circles issue. My dark circles are not less dark but there are still some dark circles here. I might just be destined to have dark circles for the rest of my life…
― The bodyshop, tea tree oil.
Thanks to a PR sample, I got to try this product. Well, I didn’t think magic existed until I first started using this… It does wonder. It gets rid of any blemishes I could have after only a few applications. I use a Q-tip to apply the product where I want it to be. It seems more hygienic and this way I can be sure to apply it directly on the right spot. Mmm, so charming, isn't it?
― Liz Earle, Cleanse & Polish cleanser.
This is an old time favourite. I’ve been using this product for over 3 years now. I don’t remember where I first discovered it… I think it was back when I lived in Ireland with one of my bestfriends. I always gravitate toward this cleanser. I have yet to find something as good as this one.
― Garnier, skinactive micellar all in one.
Whenever I feel lazy or need a quick make up remover, I reach for this product. I’ve seen it a couple of time on the blogosphere. I agree with the reviews, it’s good quality for the price. I will definitely be repurchasing it even if it does take a few try to completely remove my eye make-up.
What's new with you? What's in your skincare routine?

Hello lovelies! I hope you're doing very well. Today, I'm doing the desert island makeup tag. Basically, I'll tell you why and what I would take with me on a desert island. I had to narrow it down to makeup otherwise I would have gone a bit overboard... I managed to size it down to
― Charlotte Tilbury, Light wonder.
The first item on the list is noooo surprise. I'm sure by now you're sick of hearing me go on and on about the Light Wonder foundation from Charlotte Tilbury. To this day, I simply have not found anything as good as this foundation. It's a perfect match for my skintone (I'm a mac NW15). It's light and luminous. It has SPF15. What else can I ask for?
― Nars, Radiant creamy concealer.
Same old. Same old. We all know this little guy. I will always be loyal to this concealer. Well, until I find something as good as this one. My concealer is on the shade: Vanilla.
― Laura Mercier, Invisible pressed setting powder (universal).
My little gift from my dear mother is getting emptier... I will definitely be repurchasing it. I cannot live - and leave - without this magic baby. This famous sugar is worth every penny. It's like
― Benefit, Gimme brow.
I'm starting to see a pattern here. Have I become a creature of habits? Oh sit. Once again, if I only use one brow product this one would make the cut. I have the shade 1 and it matches my eyebrow like nothing else. You can never go wrong with this brow-volumizing fiber gel!
― Too faced, better than sex.
Classic choice. Back to basics. I always go back to this baby. I prefer the mini version as it is cheaper and this way I can actually finish it before having to throw it away. Please note: a mascara cannot be kept more than 1-3 months.
― Zoeva, stippling brush & Real Techniques, powder brush.
I own quite a lot of makeup brushes. It's a secret addiction of lazy girls but shhh let's keep this secret to ourselves! This stippling brush is my favourite way to apply foundation. It takes me less than 1 minute to do it: time saver. My trusted RT brush has been all over the world with me and it has a couple of years on its belt. Nonetheless, it still looks hella bomb.
― Stila, stay all day liquid lipstick.
Whenever I'm traveling, going out on a girls night, I will always reach out for this lipstick. Fiery is the perfect red. Am I the only who feels like you can never go wrong with a bright red? Sometimes, I wear no makeup at all and just rock this little baby. I feel fierce!
What products would you take? What have you been loving lately?
Thank you for reading and I'll see you soon ♥ x
